Richard Taylor

Director of Marketing, Planning & Communications, University of Leicester
Richard Taylor is Director of Marketing, Planning & Communications at the University of Leicester and a member of the University's senior management team. He leads an integrated team covering press and PR, student recruitment, widening participation, admissions, international operations, market research, marketing & corporate communications and development & alumni relations.
Prior to arriving at Leicester in 2003, Richard was Head of Marketing at the University of Durham where he was lead contact on the successful marketing benchmarking and evaluation project Maximize. He chairs HEliX project: the evaluation and benchmarking system for internal communications in the sector. The University of Leicester won the THE Marketing Initiative of the Year award in 2007, the Gold awards in the 2007 HEIST Awards for Best National Student Recruitment Campaign and Best HR/PR Campaign, and Gold in the 2008 HEIST Awards for Best National Student Recruitment Campaign.
