Media Relations Manager, University of Westminster

Martin Herrema has had a career spanning both public relations and journalism. His previous experience includes local government PR and regional journalism in Essex.

His current role at Westminster includes media relations and internal, crisis and corporate/stakeholder communications. He has delivered best practice workshops at Council for Advancement and Support of Education (CASE Europe) and European Universities Public Relations and Information Officers Association (EUPRIO) conferences.
He has an MA in Journalism Studies and is a Member of the Chartered Institute of Public Relations (MCIPR) and the National Union of Journalists (NUJ).

He is HEERA Treasurer and External Relations Officer, responsible for the Association’s relationship with other organisations representing higher and further education external relations staff, both within the UK and internationally. He represents the interests of HEERA in its relationship with EUPRIO.
