Craig Pollard

Head of Development, SOAS

After university, Craig worked with the charity VSO in Nigeria.  On returning to the UK he trained as an accountant and started fundraising for a kid’s charity in his spare time.  He retrained and got his first proper fundraising job with the social care charity, Turning Point.  Craig followed this with three very successful years at AMREF (the African health charity)and he now heads the Development and Alumni Relations team at SOAS (London’s School of Oriental & African Studies). 

Craig has now worked in fundraising for seven years.  During this time he has secured and managed many major,high-profile partnerships with wealthy individuals, celebrities, companies,trusts and foundations, governments and media organisations.
