This event zooms in on the use of data for the purpose of student recruitment and marketing. In our global, fast-paced higher education market, real-time data can offer invaluable insights. In an increasingly changing and competitive environment for students, universities are looking to use up-to-date data to inform their strategy for recruitment. The reliance on traditional markets has started to shift, and universities have been seeking to diversify their recruitment to secure a broader foundation for the pipeline of students.

    Deputy Director of Marketing and Communications and HEERA Chair

    University of Hertfordshire

    Donald in currently the Deputy Director of Marketing and Communications at the University of Hertfordshire. With over 13 years marketing experience, including ten years at the University of Hertfordshire, Donald spearheaded the marketing effort which resulted in a 52% increase in undergraduate applications in a three-year period and building the UK's leading team of marketing executives.

    Eleanor Jubb is a Policy Analyst at Universities UK, with a specific focus on student admissions, social mobility, efficiency and modernisation, and Europe.

  • Simon Edwards

    GREAT Campaign Director

    British Council

    Simon joined the British Council in August 2016. He has more than 25 years’ experience working with brands in marketing and communications. Previous roles include nine years at Cobra Beer and five years at the seafood sustainability standard, the Marine Stewardship Council.​
