The Higher Education External Relations Association
is the professional body of staff working across the areas
of press & public relations, marketing, alumni relations
and fundraising in the higher education sector.
HEERA is a membership organisation that
offers its members a range of networking, professional development
and other support activities and facilities. It encourages
the sharing of good practice, experience and knowledge amongst
its members and seeks to advise on best practice and the current
state of play at national, regional and institutional level.
HEERA is committed to providing excellent
and affordable services to its members and increasing the
support it gives professionals from the UK HE sector. A national
Executive Committee runs the Association and committee members
are all practising professionals within the HE sector. The
Committee represents the general membership and is elected
at the Association's Annual General Meeting.
